Simon Oliphant

MHC Mobility CEO

Chairman of the European Supervisory Board

Simon Oliphant started his career with Hitachi Capital UK in 1988, when he joined the company to develop its new full-service leasing (FSL) operation. Simon was responsible for growing the FSL operations to a Fleet News Top 10 company, with approximately 70,000 vehicles. In 2000, he was appointed as Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions CEO and a member of the Hitachi Capital UK Board. In 2015, Simon became the Head of Hitachi Capital Corporation’s (HCC) Vehicle Solutions Strategy Division (now Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc., Mobility Solutions Division), with responsibility to develop Mobility operations in Europe. During his career, Simon has led over 20 M&A transactions in the UK and across Europe. As CEO of MHC Mobility Europe, Simon is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the expansion of mobility services along with having overall management responsibility for MHC Mobility’s European operations.

Nick Salkeld

Nick Salkeld began his career in automotive finance and leasing in 1983, working with Ford Credit and later, with Nissan Finance.

Nick became a Commercial Director for LeasePlan UK in 1998 and three years later he was appointed the Managing Director of LeasePlan International before becoming Regional Senior Vice-President of LeasePlan Corporation. In 2014, Nick joined the Managing Board of LeasePlan Corporation as CCO, responsible for all 32 LeasePlan countries and 7,000 employees.

Nick joined HCC’s Vehicle Solutions Strategy Division (now Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc., Mobility Solutions Division), in 2018. Now as COO of MHC Mobility Europe, Nick is responsible for monitoring sales and operational performance across our European subsidiaries as well as leading on major projects and procurement opportunities.

Koen Jansen

Koen started his career in 1989 for audit firm Ernst & Young.

In 1992, he became a Financial Controller for LeasePlan Corporation. In 2001, he was appointed Financial Manager M&A and in 2006 he took on the role as Regional Financial Director overseeing Europe, Russia, UAE, India, Australia, New Zealand and Turkey.

Koen joined Hitachi Capital Corporations Vehicle Solutions Strategy Division (now Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc., Mobility Solutions Division), in 2018. As CFO of MHC Mobility Europe, he is responsible for monitoring financial performance and risk management across the business and its European subsidiaries, as well as developing financial synergies at a European level and supporting with M&A opportunities.

Hiroyuki Fukuro

Hiro Fukuro At 35 years’ experience in the banking industry including Tokyo Trust and Banking (now called Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation) and Hitachi Capital Trust Corporation. He was the President of Hitachi Capital Trust Corporation for seven years and spent five years in New York with the Tokyo Trust bank.

At MHC Mobility, Hiro is responsible for ensuring compliance of Mitsubishi HC Capital’s policies and governance, as well as promoting awareness and alignment to Mitsubishi HC Capital’s values.
